In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions or real media products?

Our media product is in its own way is one of a kind, it's a Teen Horror, a Supernatural Horror, a Zombie Horror, a Slasher or a Thriller. By mixing mixing all these Horrors this makes our film unique.

Here are some examples of teen horrors; Scream, I know what you did last summer, Final Destination, House of Wax, Nightmare on Elm Street, Faculty.

This is how a little child is normally represented in a horror film. This is how we represented a child.

What is a Teen Horror ?
Teen horror movies are centered around a group of teenagers being killed off one by one. These films tend to make everyone a suspect, leaving us with the unsettling feeling that any of the characters introduced, (that hasn't already been killed off) may very well be the perpetrator/killer. The killers "true" identity is usually not revealed until the end of the movie.

This is why are Teen Horror is different, because there's not a specific killer, Its many and its not something that we have to know who the killer is, which gives it less suspense, which makes it harder to do. However the fact that its a 'zombie horror' gives it a suspense of its own as  in zombie films your in suspense to see who survives, how they survive, who gets bitten and the biggest question on the audiences mind, is who's next?

Here I created a Teen Horror power-point presentation of a few Teenage Horrors, Whilst researching these I've realised that most teenage horror films were created before  1999, and that in 1998 there was many teenage horror films created, this shows that many ideas have been taken. The only recent teen horror films I have seen that have been created are either sequels or re-makes of the films before.
